As a Pharmacy Practice / Clinical Pharmacy Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of the next generation of pharmacists. Your responsibilities will span across teaching, curriculum development, research, and community engagement, aiming to deliver an outstanding educational experience. The candidates shall be a member of the staff of the Department of Pharmacy Practice assigned by Kulliyyah of Pharmacy and the candidates shall perform teaching, examining, and research duties and such other obligations as are normally required of an academic staff member of the IIUM.
The candidates should also undertake moral and religious obligations in relation to his colleagues and students as part and parcel of his duties as a member of the academic staff of IIUM.
As a lecturer and member of the academic staff, the candidate is required to attend any meetings related to administrative positions they may hold. This attendance is mandated by appointments made under the IIUM or through administrative directives issued by the Rector, Dean, or Head of the Kulliyyah/Centre/Department/Institute/Office/Mahallah.
Particularly in a higher education context, the candidate must encompass a blend of academic qualifications, teaching abilities, research skills, and personal attributes that enable effective education delivery, student engagement, and contributions to the academic community. Experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting is COMPULSORY.
All candidates must have obtained credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level OR equivalent qualification recognised by the Government (for Malaysian citizens). IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4. Candidate without any of these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.
