A large procurement company located in Klang City is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage supplier relationships and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess solid experience in procurement, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This role involves drafting contracts, conducting cost analyses, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure that procurement meets business goals. Competitive compensation is offered.
Identify, evaluate and select suitable suppliers/vendors for materials, goods and services required by the company.
Request quotations (local or overseas), collect and compare vendor proposals (price, quality, delivery, reliability) and conduct cost analyses before recommendation.
Draft, review, manage and maintain procurement contracts/service agreements/vendor agreements; ensure compliance with company policies requirements.
Manage relationships and communication with suppliers. Build long-term vendor relationships to secure favorable terms and ensure supply chain stability.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand needs, specifications, timelines and ensure procurement aligns with business goals.
Assist in preparing procurement documentation, purchase orders (POs), Letters of contract and ensure timely issuance and follow-up.
Help develop and improve procurement policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure compliance, efficiency and risk mitigation.
Provide regular reports and analysis on procurement performance, vendor performance, cost savings and other KPIs as required by management.
Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, economics, or a related field is standard.
Solid experience in procurement / purchasing / supply chain — ideally including vendor management, contracting and tender.
Problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills for cost and performance analysis.
