Job summary

A logistics company in Port Klang is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Warehouse to lead warehouse operations and ensure full compliance with LMW and Customs regulations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and at least 5–7 years experience in warehouse/logistics with a background in manufacturing. This role involves overseeing daily activities, managing teams, and handling all warehouse documentation and import/export processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in warehouse/logistics, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of LMW, Customs regulations, and import/export procedures.
• Able to manage teams and resolve daily warehouse operation issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse activities including inbound, outbound, storage, and picking.
• Ensure accurate inventory control through cycle counts and stock take.
• Manage LMW documentation and liaison with MITI/RMCD.
• Handle import/export declarations with accurate HS codes.
• Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders ensuring complete documentation.
• Lead warehouse teams effectively and ensure safety compliance.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Warehouse to lead warehouse operations and ensure full LMW and Customs compliance for our manufacturing plant in Port Klang.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse activities: inbound, outbound, storage, picking, packing, and space planning.

• Ensure accurate inventory control through cycle counts and annual stock take.

• Manage all LMW documentation and submissions (ZB1–ZB4, MITI/RMCD liaison).

• Handle import/export declarations (K1, K2, K8, K9) and HS code accuracy.

• Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and ensure complete documentation.

• Lead warehouse teams (supervisors, clerks, material handlers, forklift drivers).

• Ensure safety, 5S practices, and compliance with internal SOPs.

• Support audits (LMW, ISO) and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Warehouse, Supply Chain or related field.

• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in warehouse/logistics; manufacturing background preferred.

• Strong knowledge of LMW, Customs regulations, and import/export procedures.

• Able to manage teams and daily warehouse operation issues.

• Proficient in ERP/SAP and Microsoft Office.

• Able to work in Port Klang.
