Focused on supporting implementation of strategic healthcare excellence initiatives and hospital optimization programs. Monitors quality metrics, coordinates stakeholder engagement, researches international benchmarks, and provides analytical support for program assessment. Helps execute transformative healthcare strategies while ensuring operational effectiveness of initiatives that enhance Malaysia's healthcare tourism positioning.
Responsibilities
- Healthcare Excellence Innovation
- Identify and formulate transformative healthcare initiatives to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes
- Research global healthcare excellence trends to inform strategic program development
- Conduct competitive analysis of international medical tourism markets to identify differentiation opportunities
- Implementation & Coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative healthcare quality solutions
- Develop comprehensive project plans with clear milestones and deliverables
- Monitor program execution and provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate productive collaboration with healthcare professionals, government agencies, and industry leaders
- Coordinate workshops and forums to gather insights on healthcare excellence initiatives
- Represent the division professionally at industry events and strategic meetings
- Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Develop robust metrics and KPIs to evaluate healthcare excellence program effectiveness
- Analyse performance data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend strategic adjustments
- Prepare analytical reports to inform decision-making processes
- Knowledge Management
- Disseminate healthcare best practices and quality standards across provider networks
- Maintain current knowledge of evolving healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements
- Support the development of resources that enhance service quality across member institutions
- Other Duties
- Undertake other strategic duties as directed by the Immediate Supervisor and Management
Qualifications
- Academic background: A minimum of bachelor’s degree in any healthcare related fields (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical / Biotechnology, Health sciences, Nursing, etc)
- Related Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, hospital administration, or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Additional Skills: Experience in developing and delivering training programs; understanding customer/stakeholder needs, needs assessment analysis and strategizing education plans with market needs.
- Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of Malaysia healthcare regulations, trends and issues affecting local/regional/global healthcare
- Good data-driven decision-making capabilities and program management skills
- Stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with diverse healthcare partners
- Adaptable and innovative, capable of developing creative solutions across functional units
- Subject matter expertise in healthcare practices, regulations, and quality standards, with strong stakeholder management skills
