About the Role

The role is for engineering, integration, and administration of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI technologies, driving innovation through AI agent development, platform enhancements, and proof‑of‑concept initiatives. The role ensures seamless integration with Microsoft services, maintains compliance and disaster recovery readiness, and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders—including the AI Council and IT operations—to deliver secure, scalable, and business‑aligned AI solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Copilot Engineering & Integration
    • Serve as the go‑to expert for Copilot capabilities across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other M365 apps.
    • Configure and optimise Copilot settings, permissions, and data access policies.
    • Enhance M365 Copilot capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with Teams, Azure AI, Power Automate, and Power BI. Collaborate with product teams to optimise Copilot performance and user experience across the enterprise.
  • AI Agent
    • Design, test and deploy Copilot AI Agents and PoC solutions tailored to support business use cases. Drive innovation by leveraging AI to improve productivity.
  • Platform Administration
    • Manage and administer platform components ensuring stability, scalability and secure integration of AI features. Oversee configuration management and access controls for Copilot and related services.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Define and enforce governance policies for Copilot usage, including data boundaries, privacy, and ethical AI use.
    • Monitor usage patterns and audit logs to ensure responsible AI practices.
    • Collaborate with Information Security and Compliance teams to align with regulatory requirements.
  • Disaster Recovery & Compliance
    • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for AI‑enabled services. Ensure compliance with industry standards and support solutions.
  • Collaboration & Support
    • Work closely with the M365 Product engineers, AI council and BU EUS IT operations to align AI initiatives with business needs. Provide Level 2 / 3 technical support for Copilot‑related services and manage feature release cycles and incident response.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years of technical engineering roles focusing on building AI‑related applications, Microsoft M365 Copilot, AI platforms, frameworks and APIs.
  • Proven SME in Microsoft365 platforms, Copilot extensibility, Azure AI and Microsoft Graph API and Power Platform.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft technologies with the ability to identify, analyse and resolve complex technical issues ensuring optimal performance, scalability and user experience.
  • Hands‑on experience in managing and integrating AI solutions within an enterprise environment.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly conveying technical concepts and information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience producing business‑relevant presentations and technical‑oriented writing is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, operations and governance bodies in different countries.
  • Experience in training and mentoring staff on AI tools, platforms and best practices.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal and presentation skills, with a proactive and service‑oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations regarding data protection and privacy.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Highly organised with strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and ensure third‑party solutions meet organisational requirements.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and ability to react quickly and resolve issues to maintain workflow continuity.
