Job summary

A leading financial service provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Assistant Manager, Finance to oversee daily finance operations and support account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of Oracle Systems and Excel VBA is a plus. The Role:

  • Perform daily finance operations activities (eg cashflow).
  • Perform and support monthly account reconciliation and financial closing activities.
  • Implement processes to improve productivity and efficiency of finance operations and reconciliation.
  • Participate in the Shared Service Project testing for new reconciliation model for iFRS17.
  • Assist in review/update department Policies and SOPs and audit requirement
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  • Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practice.
  • Other responsibilities entailed

The Person:

  • Possess a recognised Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years working experience in Financial Institution or Audit Company
  • Knowledge in Oracle Systems and Microsoft Excel VBA would be an added advantage
