A leading technology company in Seberang Perai is seeking a Junior Assembler to aid in the installation of components for wafer fabrication equipment. The role requires a minimum Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science and offers an opportunity to work in a clean-room environment. Successful candidates will work in teams, navigate complex work instructions, and utilize various hand tools. Flexibility and communication skills are essential in this dynamic position, contributing to a safe and efficient workflow.
Navigate computer-based work instructions to install parts and hardware using hand tools and fixtures if needed; on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a Lean manufacturing clean-room environment.
Effectively use hand tools, torque wrenches, equipment and fixtures to assemble WFE
Read and navigate work instructions and schematics
Work in teams to ensure workflow and production schedule is maintained
Provide flexibility and responsiveness for changing priorities including rework requirements and pilot build projects
Complete required trainings and certifications for processes, procedures and equipment
Ensure the correct parts were delivered and perform visual inspection of components prior to installation
Assist with audits through visual inspection and verifying checklists
Close assigned tasks by verifying work were completed, verify Cell Fusion was completed, and signing off and giving a description of what was done
Install parts and hardware correctly by following Cell Fusion instructions and using hand tools and fixtures if needed; verifying Cell Fusion completion
Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Adhere to personal and product safety guidelines by:
Perform Risk Management By Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and document, correct and/or elevate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments
Supports safe work environment by responding directly and quickly to unsafe practices; escalates to next level manager (safety representative, lead, supervisor, manager); and escalates any unresolved issues (incorrect use of hoist, poor placement of tools/cords/ladders, etc., not using cones or barriers, PPE misuse)
Communication:
Provide timely information and responses to supervisors and co-workers by phone/written form/email/in person
Communicate verbally and in writing to appropriate groups/locations when:
Participate in meetings and training
Minimum Diploma in Engineering studies or Computer Science
0-2 years of related electrical and electronics assembly experience depending on level
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
Work 12-plus hour shifts in fast paced and time-sensitive environment.
Be flexible and responsive to changing priorities including but not limited to rework, overtime and potential limited travel to other Lam/customer facilities
Utilize computer-based data systems and applications
Proficient in Microsoft Office software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Use Hand Tools including but not limited to: Calipers, Circuit tester, Wrenches, Hoists, Ohm meters, Screwdrivers, Torque wrenches, Ladders/platforms, Snipping tools/cutter
