About Makers Arts Centre

Established in 1996, Makers Arts Centre has been nurturing young artists in Ipoh for nearly three decades. With four branches, we run structured, hands‑on art classes that require consistency, teamwork, and emotional maturity from our teachers.

This is a real teaching environment, not a casual art club.

Role Overview

This role is designed for someone who enjoys working with children in a structured, fast‑paced studio setting and is willing to grow into a мазкур Art Teacher role.

You will support weekend classes, prepare materials, assist in classroom management, and follow clear teaching systems. Training will be provided, but independence, reliability, and accountability are expected.

This position is suitable for candidates seeking long-term growth, not short‑term or casual work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and organise art materials before classes and clean up after lessons
  • Support children during classes and guide them calmly through activities
  • Assist the Lead Teacher by reinforcing instructions and managing class flow
  • Maintain classroom order and a positive learning environment
  • Assist during exhibitions, workshops, and studio events when required
  • Attend teachers’ meetings and training sessions as scheduled
This role is suitable if you
  • Are punctual, organised, and able to follow instructions precisely
  • Stay calm and patient when working with children
  • Can take feedback directly and improve without taking it personally
  • Are comfortable working weekends on a consistent basis
  • Are looking for a stable role with growth into a teaching position

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma in Arts, Early Childhood,ldap Education, or Psychology
  • Able to speak Chinese and English fluently
  • Experience proveedor working with children is an advantage but not required
  • Own transport and able to travel between branches (travel allowance provided)
  • Must be(present available for weekend shifts
