A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Engineer to assist in preparing documentation, perform heat load calculations, and propose engineering designs for air-conditioning products. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2-3 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong analytical skills are required. This role also involves collaborating with vendors and managing technical documentation.
Assist sales personnel in responding to inquiries and preparing documentation, including equipment schedules and technical data.
Support sales personnel in heat load calculations, as well as the design and development of proposals for clients.
Propose engineering designs with piping schematics, wiring models, and 2D CAD drawings for air-conditioning products.
Liaise with superiors to perform technical assessments, plan, and evaluate the feasibility of projects.
Manage and maintain technical documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible to all sales personnel.
Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source materials and components, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
Participate in sales and marketing activities such as seminars, exhibitions, and conducting product training sessions for clients.
Work closely with the Principal’s Marketing team on technical inquiries and follow-ups
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a sales engineering or technical support role in the air-conditioning or HVAC industry.
Technical Skills: Experience with AutoCAD 2D design, drawings, piping schematics, and wiring models.
Preferred: Familiarity with heat load calculations and designing HVAC solutions.
Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess technical feasibility and design solutions.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Organizational: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Multitasking: Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
