Job description

Provide technical helpline support to product and application enquiries from Asia Sales subsidiaries' technical teams.

Provide on-site support to customers to resolve product application issues whenever deemed necessary, including travel to Asian countries.

Support Asia Sales subsidiaries in the Service Level project services.

Establish new solutions for emerging product applications in Asia.

Support product training for technical colleagues in Asia.

Working closely with key stakeholders (local & overseas) to continuously improve technical helpline productivity.

A minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering (any field).

Must have 4-6 years of working experience in product application support or field application support.

Possesses good knowledge of FA products, including proximity sensors, area scanners, barcode readers, safety curtain, and safety scanner.

Pre-- and post-sales support and consultancy experience preferred.

Working knowledge of Field Bus communication interface protocols (e.g. ProfiBus, ProfiNET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT) will be a plus.

Experience in integrating sensors (barcode scanner or camera-based products experience to IPC, PLC is highly desired.

Possess project management skills in managing multiple tasks execution.

Good communication and technical documentation skills.

Vision (camera based) products (Use before, know how to configure, solved industrial problems before).

Fluent in English communication and skilled at explaining technical topics in simple terms.

Self-starting and independent individual.

Passionate about solving product applications and learning new product features.

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks between multiple ongoing projects.
