Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Penang is seeking an entry-level Procurement Assistant to assist in supplier coordination, issue RFQs, and support sourcing activities for new products. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or bachelor’s degree and an analytical mindset, with 0-2 years of experience preferred. This role also involves compliance with AS9100 standards and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Training is provided for aerospace procurement practices.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of sourcing or procurement experience (preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing).
• Basic understanding of AS9100 or aerospace procurement practices (training provided).
• Ability to read and interpret simple technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in issuing RFQs and collecting supplier quotations.
• Review commercial and technical requirements to ensure alignment.
• Support cost comparisons and price benchmarking.
• Prepare and update quote summaries for BAM review.
• Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers for aerospace needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers on pricing and lead times.
• Monitor supplier compliance with quality standards.
