An aerospace components service provider in Selangor, Malaysia is looking for a technician to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of aircraft airfoils. Responsibilities include conducting visual inspections, performing TIG welding, and executing various machining operations. Candidates should hold a relevant certificate or diploma and have at least one year of practical experience. Good communication skills in English are essential as well as the ability to work on shifts and weekends.
Certificate or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Quality and equivalent
Good communication skills, both verbal and written English
Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Minimum of 1 year working experience
Apprenticeship in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) processes for aerospace components ie. airfoil blades and vanes under the guidance and supervision of an approval holder
Carry out routine tasks that involve consistent processes and adherence to standard procedure
Logistics – Incoming & Outgoing
Perform visual inspection to identify airfoil is within in-house capability, verify the documentation and confirm the quantity of the airfoil
Isolate and quarantine any rejected airfoil
Perform final inspection on repaired airfoil and verify documentation prior deliver to client
Perform chemical and mechanical cleaning process to remove surface contaminants, impurities and heavy dirt
Perform visual and dimensional inspections:
Perform TIG welding to restore the airfoil length using Nickel and/or Titanium alloys material
Perform grinding operation before and after the welding process, ensuring surfaces are smooth, within tolerance limits, and meet required specifications
Perform repair processes using various machining equipment including shot peening, blasting, thermal spray, coating, milling, auto welding and etc
