A healthcare institution in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accountant / Account Manager. You will manage the hospital’s financial operations, including a full set of accounts, financial reporting, and compliance. Responsibilities include supervising the finance team, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and relevant experience, preferably in the healthcare sector, with strong analytical and leadership skills.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant / Account Manager to oversee the hospital’s full set of accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role will also supervise and support the finance team to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.
Manage full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) and monthly closing activities.
Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
Ensure compliance with MFRS, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Oversee hospital billing, collections, panel payments, and credit control processes.
Review and improve financial workflows and SOPs.
Manage, supervise, and mentor the finance/accounts team.
Support senior management with financial insights to guide decision-making.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
MIA membership, or
ACCA / CPA / CIMA / ICAEW or equivalent.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience; healthcare/hospital experience is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of MFRS, tax compliance, and audit processes.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines under pressure.
Experience managing or supervising a small finance team is required.
Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with hospital billing systems or healthcare finance workflows.
Familiarity with SST, tax computations, and statutory submissions.
