Job summary

A recruitment agency in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an accountant to manage daily accounting functions such as data entry, journal postings, and reconciliation. Job description

Handle daily accounting functions, including data entry, journal postings, and reconciliation.

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.

Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, including billing and payment processing.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

Support audit and tax-related matters by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.

Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.

Assist in any ad-hoc accounting or administrative tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
  • 2–3 years of working experience in accounting (commercial environment or audit or Accounting firm).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAGE, SQL, or similar).
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
