Job summary

A growing financial services company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Account Executive for their Petaling Jaya office. The role involves managing daily accounting operations, maintaining full sets of accounts, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry, and a Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance. Familiarity with accounting software and strong communication skills are required for this full-time position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
  • Familiar with handling General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Capable of preparing invoices and payment vouchers.

About the role

We are is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in our office in Petaling Jaya . As an Account Executive, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial accounts and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of our growing company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations and maintain full sets of accounts
  • Handle General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Process progress claims, certifications, VO, subcontractor payments, and other construction-related documents
  • Prepare invoices, payment vouchers and receipts
  • Assist in monthly closing, year-end closing, audit, and tax submission
  • Ensure all accounting records comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience; experience in the construction industry is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of project costing, construction claims, and subcontractor payments
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Familiar with accounting software with SQL, and Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work in a team with good communication
