Job summary

A growing security network firm in Malaysia is seeking an Accounting professional to prepare monthly management accounts and support audit processes. This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 1–2 years of accounting experience. Candidates should be proactive with strong analytical skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and SQL accounting systems is preferred. Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma / LCCI or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in SQL accounting system is an advantage.
  • Proactive, analytical, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibility

Job Scope

  • Preparing monthly management accounts for multiple related companies within the group (both active and dormant companies).
  • Support audit processes by preparing documents and liaising with auditors and the company secretary.
  • Prepare and submit SST returns accurately and within deadlines.

Finance & Accounting Responsibilities

  • Manage inter-company invoicing with accurate records and proper documentation.
  • Maintain and update General Ledger (GL) to ensure all financial transactions are accurate.
  • Prepare journal entries and payment vouchers for payroll and related transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies if any.
  • Calculate monthly sales commissions for the sales team.
  • Support supplier payments to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) matters and collections by following up with customers via phone and email.
  • Support preparation of other ad-hoc financial tasks and reporting when required.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple related companies (active and dormant).
  • Support audit processes by preparing required schedules and liaising with auditors and the company secretary.
  • Prepare and submit SST returns accurately and on time.
