Job description
Overview

Randstad is exclusively partnering with a specialized advisory firm that provides high-level financial infrastructure support to a portfolio of complex, multi-entity organizations. Our client operates within regulated industries, necessitating a high degree of precision, confidentiality, and technical excellence.

We are looking for a seasoned Accounting Manager who acts not just as an accountant, but as an architect of financial governance. This is a role for a dynamic professional who enjoys variety, moving across different client engagements to design, build, and optimize financial frameworks across the Asia region.

The Role

As an Accounting Manager, you will provide specialist advisory and implementation support to clients operating across various jurisdictions. Your mandate is to professionalize their finance functions—designing accounting standards, establishing internal controls, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will act as a strategic partner to client leadership, combining hands-on technical execution with high-level financial advisory. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, from system implementations to cross-border consolidations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Governance & Framework Design

Evaluate existing financial processes and design client-specific accounting policies, SOPs, and internal control frameworks. Ensure full compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance scalability, accuracy, and regulatory readiness for clients in sensitive industries.

  2. Reporting, Consolidation & Audit

Provide hands-on assistance and advisory for month-end/year-end closing and the preparation of consolidated financial statements for multi-entity structures. Design reporting templates and charts of accounts tailored to specific client business models. Lead audit preparation by reviewing schedules and audit trails, serving as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

  3. Financial Modeling & Strategy

Build robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and scenario planning. Provide analytical insights and diagnostics to support client leadership in strategic decision-making and project evaluation.

  4. Systems & Process Optimization

Recommend and implement suitable ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Xero) based on client complexity. Streamline operational finance workflows (AP/AR, Treasury, Expense Controls) to improve efficiency. Conduct training sessions to ensure knowledge transfer and the sustainability of new processes for client teams.

Key Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of experience in finance, accounting, or advisory. A strong track record with multi-entity or cross-border clients is essential. Experience in sensitive or regulated industries is highly advantageous.

  • Language: Strong written and spoken proficiency in both English and Chinese is mandatory to communicate effectively with regional stakeholders.

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of IFRS and regional GAAP (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan). Advanced Excel skills (Modeling/VBA) and proficiency with common ERP systems are required.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel 25–50% of the time to support client deployments and cross-country coordination.

  • Soft Skills: High level of professional integrity, discretion, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
