A Malaysia-based investment holding company is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards. You will prepare financial reports, manage accounts payable and receivable, and handle tax matters. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, professional certifications like ACCA or CPA, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the oil palm sector. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.
Oversee and manage general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other statutory requirements.
Handle tax matters including SST, income tax and other regulatory filings with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN).
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Monitor and improve accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency.
Conduct estate visits for financial reviews, inventory verification and operational audits.
Support the management team with strategic financial planning and analysis.
