Responsibilities
  • Supervising accounts department, overseeing financial operation and monthly management accounts.
  • Monitoring cashflow and ensuring payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Managing full‑set management accounts closings & analysis on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Controlling accounting book‑keeping operations of full set of accounts i.e. FAR, AP, AR, Other GL, Cashbook, Journals and Reconciliation accounts.
  • Assisting in all corporate finance and treasury functions such as liaising with bankers, FX contract, fund transfer, fund raising etc.
  • Co‑ordinating with Auditor / Tax Agent / Co‑Secretariat / authorities / LHDN and ensuring compliance and timely submission of all statutory related matters e.g. SST filing, Tax filing, MIDA, Co. Annual Return filing, Kastam application/certification/renewal/clearance etc.
  • Engaging with other external parties such as customers and vendors for all financial related matters.
  • Reviewing and upholding Accounts & Finance dept.’s policy, SOP, work processes & work instructions to be relevant, effective and efficient.
  • Supervising and guiding junior staff in accounting operations and leading and troubleshooting problems as required.
  • Substantiating financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Communicating with managers and/or Director on work status.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate.
  • Professional Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Familiar with accounting and reporting standards, good knowledge in accounting, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
