We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our growing Malaysia team. This role is central to ensuring smooth financial operations in our Malaysian entity and support Australian accounting functions. You will manage statutory payroll filings locally, maintain accurate bookkeeping, and provide cross‑border accounting support. Key Responsibilities

Malaysian Payroll & Statutory Filings

• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with SST/GST, EPF, SOCSO, and HRDF requirements.
• Prepare and submit statutory filings accurately and on time.

Bookkeeping

• Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly financial reports.

Australian Accounting Support

• Support Accounts Payable: process invoices, manage vendor payments, and maintain supplier records.
• Support Accounts Receivable: track collections, track monthly progress claims, issue invoices, follow up overdue invoices from clients.
• Support Project Accounting: track project costs, maintain project P&Ls ensuring accuracy, assist in forecasting project cash flows.

Requirements

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to both Malaysian and international operations.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements (SST/GST, EPF, SOCSO, HRDF).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QNE AI Cloud Accounting, AutoCount) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑border collaboration.

Nice to Have

• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting Australian accounting standards and practices.
• Familiarity with project accounting.
• Interest in process improvement and automation of accounting workflows.
