Job description

We are seeking an Accountant to join our dynamic team at NZ IDEAL ENT' in George Town, Penang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is available to support the company's strategic decision-making.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing valuable insights to management

Performing month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals

Supporting the implementation of financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the overall financial strategy

What we're looking for

Degree in Accounting or a related field

Minimum 1 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a similar industry

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations

Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheet applications

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
