Job description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at CLAY INDUSTRIES SDN. BERHAD' in Ayer Hitam Johor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is available to support strategic decision-making.

What you'll be doing

To be fully responsible for monthly / annual financial & managements reports.

To lead & manage AR & AP team.

To manage credit control for cash flow & financial planning.

To assist in bank related application & transactions.

To liaise with external parties e.g. bankers/ tax agent/ auditor/ company secretary/ government / authorities.

Year-end tax & audit preparation.

To assist & support all accounting & financial functions in a finance division.

Any other Ad-hoc assignment/projects as required by the management.

What we're looking for

Degree in Accounting or a related field

Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or CPA)

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar financial accounting or reporting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry

Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights

Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance
