Job summary

A leading industrial device firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Account Senior Executive. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include managing sales and corporate accounting functions, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with MS Office and SAP are beneficial. This position offers involvement in diverse tasks, aimed at improving accounting systems and supporting junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the accounting industry.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, law and regulation is essential.
  • Audit background is an advantage but not compulsory.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare forecasting, budgeting, and manage SOX compliance internal control.
  • Manage sales and corporate accounting functions related to monthly closing and reporting.
  • Improve accounting systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Certificate in Accountancy or equivalent with a minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role, preferably within the same industry.

Fast learner, proactive working attitude and good personality.

Good communication, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, law and regulation.

Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

Advanced computer skills on MS Office and SAP knowledge will be added advantage.

Have a background audit experience will be added advantage (but this is not compulsory).

Special requirement : Proficient in Excel skill

Job Responsibilities:

  • Involve in preparation of the forecasting, budgeting and managing internal control related to SOX compliance.
  • Managing sales and corporate accounting function in related to the monthly closing, report submission, journal posting, credit control, inventory, payable, tax, audit matters, etc.
  • There will be job rotation within the department depending on candidate capabilities and exposure.
  • Improve accounting systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Increase the functional efficiency and provide guidance and coaching to junior staff.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc duties and projects assigned by the management from time-to-time.
