Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Port Klang is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist responsible for daily bookkeeping, tax filing, and financial reporting. The role focuses on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance, 1–2 years of related experience, and proficiency in Chinese and English. Qualifications

Job description

Responsible for daily bookkeeping, tax filing, and financial reporting, with a specific focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Entry: Perform accounting entries into the ERP system, maintaining accurate records for raw material procurement, sales, and inventory.
  • Ledger Management: Manage AP reconciliations (matching supplier invoices with Goods Received Notes); assist in tracking AR aging and collections.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the calculation and filing of Malaysian taxes (SST, Corporate Tax) and prepare supporting schedules.
  • Month-end Closing: Support the Accountant in month-end closing activities, including cost accounting and accrual/prepayment adjustments.
  • Documentation: Maintain a systematic filing system for all financial records to ensure a clear audit trail.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance. Knowledge of IFRS/MFRS is preferred.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in accounting (Manufacturing background preferred).
  • Language: Must be proficient in Chinese (reading/writing/speaking) and English.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SQL accounting software.
