Job Summary — Account Executive

The Account Executive is responsible for handling day‑to‑day accounting operations to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with statutory and company requirements. This role supports the finance function by managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and assisting in month‑end closing activities in a manufacturing environment.

  • Collaborate with the Account Manager to oversee all accounting matters.
  • Implement company and department procedures, work instructions, rules, and regulations, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring good housekeeping practices.
  • Work with the Department Head of Department (HOD) and the team to achieve department objectives.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the management as needed.
  • Constantly review and enhance supplier payment control procedures.
  • Contribute as an Internal Auditor.

Key Responsibilities
  • To handle and review full sets account, financial report, taxation and SST report accurately and timely.
  • To support and empower positive self‑development of subordinates.
  • To manage monthly wages for all employees and ensure the wages payment is rightfully made according to employees’ performance.
  • To manage bank documentations including renewing yearly bank guarantee.
  • To proactively review and update foreign worker wages including Levy and Fomema.To ensure maintenance of existing and new supplier bank accounts.
  • To plan, develop, and execute implementation of effective accounting strategies, policies and procedures.
  • To propose any investment strategies, recommendations on accounting treatment for significant and exceptional transactions and ensuring transactions are commercially effective.
  • To establish and maintain coordination and communication among account & admin staff, ensuring optimal performance.
  • To produce monthly sales revenue figure compilation to review sales performance.
  • To ensure the financial health of company’s cash flow management and prepare forecasting & budgeting.
  • To minimize company exposure to taxation (Corporate tax planning) and individual tax planning.
  • To be commercially aware of the constant updating and implementation of new rulings and study the impact on company’s progress.
  • To establish business relations with banking sector, auditors, regulators and professionals.
  • To carry out any other HR duties and maintain ISO Procedures as assigned by the management from time to time.
  • To constantly review and improve Account Control Procedure
Who We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4–6 years of relevant working experience
  • Able to handle full set of accounts independently
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Experience liaising with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA) are an added advantage
