Job summary

A prominent local finance company is looking for a candidate for accounting responsibilities. The ideal person will assist in managing transactions, prepare financial reports, and maintain proper records. Candidates should possess a relevant degree and have strong skills in languages and Microsoft Excel. A minimum of 2-3 years experience in finance/accounting is preferred. Qualifications

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Finance/Accounting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with general accounting is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in handling accounting entries such as receipts, payments, and invoices.
  • Manage the day-to-day processing of transactions accurately.
  • Support month-end closing activities and preparation of journals.
  • Help prepare simple financial reports.
  • Maintain proper filing of accounts and documents.
  • Provide support to liaising with auditors and tax agents.
  • Assist with SST submissions.

Proficient in Mandarin

  • Posses SPM certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Post Graduate or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduate are welcome to apply.
  • At least 2-3 years of working experiences in Finance/Accounting is preferred.
  • Familiar with general accounting is an added advantage.
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Computer literate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software such as SQLAccounting Software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordination across departments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
  • Immediate availability or short notice is preferred.
Responsibility
  • Assist in handling accounting entries such as receipts, payments, and invoices.
  • Manage the day-to-day processing of transactions in an efficient, accurate, and up-to-date manner.
  • Support month-end closing activities and preparation of basic journals.
  • Help prepare simple financial reports (e.g. cash book, debtor listing, reconciliation).
  • Maintain proper filing of accounts and documents.
  • Provide support to the team in liaising with auditors, tax agents, and banks when needed.
  • Assist with SST submissions and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Carry out administrative and ad-hoc duties assigned by your supervisor.
  • Report to superior on issues or discrepancies promptly.
