A financial services company based in Malaysia is seeking a candidate to assist in accounts payable and receivable activities. Responsibilities include processing invoices, updating accounting records, and supporting month-end closing activities. Ideal candidates will have at least an SPM or Diploma in Accounting or related fields, along with strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. This role offers fresh graduates the opportunity to grow and learn in the accounting field.
Assist in data entry for accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and petty cash claims.
Update accounting records in the system (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, UBS).
Support month-end closing activities and financial summaries.
Maintain proper filing of accounting and administrative documents (physical & digital).
Handle incoming mail, courier, and general correspondence related to accounts.
Assist in preparing simple reports, spreadsheets, and summaries.
Prepare and manage documentation for suppliers, customers, and auditors.
Liaise with suppliers on invoice discrepancies or payment status.
Follow up with customers on outstanding payments when needed.
Support the accounts team during audits, tax submissions, and compliance checks.
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and organizing files.
Maintain office supplies and stationery inventory.
Support Financial Controller, HR and Accounts departments for administrative tasks when needed.
Minimum SPM; Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, or related field preferred.
0–2 years of working experience in accounting or admin.
Fresh graduates with basic accounting knowledge encouraged to apply.
Experience supporting senior management is an advantage.
Basic understanding of accounting concepts (debit/credit, AP & AR).
Familiar with MS Excel, Word, and accounting software (added advantage).
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Good time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.
