Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Account Admin Assistant to support accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin to handle financial documents and communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients. Responsibilities include assisting with daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and performing general administrative duties. Candidates should have a minimum of an SPM or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and 1-2 years of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Job description

We are looking for a detailed-oriented Account Admin Assistant to support our accountant in handling daily accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) to assist with financial documents, invoices, and communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities
  • Support the accountant in daily accounting operations (data entry, invoice processing, payment preparation, etc..).
  • Handles accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Prepare and maintain proper filing of financial documents and payment vouchers.
  • Assist in bank reconciliation and monthly closing activities.
  • Communicate with sales team, clients, and internal teams in Mandarin and English.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as document organization and correspondence.
  • Support ad-hoc accounting and admin duties assigned by the management.
Requirements
  • Minimum SPM/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 1-2 years of related working experience preferred.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) - required to handle Mandarin documents and liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients/suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
