General Summary

This role is a specialist in the Modern Workplace Unit within IT which covers Identity Management (AD/Entra); End User Computing (Microsoft based M365 and operating system/ SharePoint/ Teams) and Microsoft Power Products.

Responsibilities

• AD/Entra management, updates and day‑to‑day allocation of staff, contractor and customer identities.
• AD/Entra updates and patch management.
• License management for AD and Entra related products and other products that fall within the team’s responsibility.
• Assisting end users who use AD and Entra products in their day‑to‑day work, including profile management.
• Active Directory management and engineering.
• Handling identity requests as third line and specialist support as required.
• Working on modern‑workplace/identity related projects (operating system upgrades, changes to products, licensing updates, AD changes, customer identity).
• Handling wider modern‑workplace requests when the volume of demand is high.
• Working globally from the KL operating centre in Malaysia.
• Providing colleague support and project services for Microsoft Entra and AD Products.
• Providing modern‑workplace support with internal staff and third‑party service providers as required, to optimise the long‑term cost position for the organisation.

Key Skills and Competencies Required

• Technical experience on Microsoft AD/Entra and related identity products and support, teamwork and cross‑functional working.
• Microsoft AD and Entra experience covering staff, contractor and customer identity management.
• Microsoft Identity Systems deployment, modification and upgrades.
• Microsoft Modern Workplace products (M365/Teams/SharePoint/etc) design and configuration/change/updates/support/problem‑management for identity management and wider modern workplace.
• Microsoft Power Products (Power BI/Power Automate/Power Apps/Azure AI/etc) design and configuration/change/updates/support/problem‑management.

Experience Required

There is no absolute metric placed on years of experience. We expect the successful candidate will have experience of:

• Active Directory and Entra management at a ‘Principal Expert’ level.
• Identity Management at a ‘Principal Expert’ level.
• Technical design, configuration and management of these products.
• Modern Workplace products at a ‘Specialist’ level.

Education Required

There is no absolute metric placed on educational requirements. We expect the successful candidate will have completed Microsoft and other professional certifications in the products being used, and can demonstrate the professional application of this education and experience in a practical sense.
