We are seeking a talented Senior 3D Lighting and Compositing Artist to join our dynamic team. This role works closely with the Art Director, Assistant Art Director, and 2D Art Director to deliver high-quality 3D visuals and designs that align with the overall production vision. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of lighting and composition, with a sharp eye for detail. They must be capable of interpreting and adhering to production guidelines, while also solving visual and technical challenges related to key visual effects shots.
Demonstrate strong creativity and effectively communicate the team’s vision and mission.
Inspire the team by creating high-quality, visually compelling 3D work.
Possess strong artistic skills with a solid understanding of color, lighting, style, and compositing passes.
Guide and mentor junior compositors to maintain visual quality standards.
Understand creative briefs from the Design, 2D, and 3D Art Directors.
Conduct research based on requirements and collaborate with the team on visual development.
Support 2D concept design by contributing with well-executed 3D visuals.
Work closely with the 3D Art Director and Assistant to ensure output quality aligns with 2D direction.
Ensure all 3D visuals and files are properly organized and logged on the department server.
Keep the Art Department Coordinator and Assistant informed of available assets.
Set up and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) for organizing passes and working files.
Backup and manage all working files, render passes, and image layers, while updating the senior team.
Continuously explore new technologies, improve skills, and seek more efficient workflows (example: AI in 3D).
Diploma in Digital Animation or a related field (preferred), emphasizing a solid foundation in digital arts and animation.
Experience in lighting, composite assets with a wide variety and board appeal.
Excellent communication and teamwork player (leave no man behind).
Organisation: work within the production schedule, manage files and meet deadlines.
The ability to adapt to and innovate new styles and techniques.
Understand the functionality software – Maya, Z brush, Blender, Adobe tools, substance painter, marmosets.
