For an important project, we are seeking a highly skilled Static and Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
Develop the design, sizing, and technical specifications (data sheets) for both static equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers) and rotating machinery (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines). Support the technical assessment of vendors and their equipment to ensure compliance with project and quality standards. Prepare technical requisitions, purchase specifications, and drawings, managing all required project documentation for approval and construction. Guarantee full compliance of equipment with national and international standards (e.g., ASME, API, PED, ATEX). Conduct preliminary feasibility and sizing checks, supporting advanced analyses like FEA when needed. Coordinate closely with process, piping, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for seamless equipment integration. Provide technical assistance during construction and commissioning stages.
Requirements
Degree in
Mechanical Engineering
or equivalent. Solid experience in the
design and selection of static and / or rotating equipment
in industrial plant settings (preferably in Oil & Gas, chemical, or energy sectors). Strong knowledge of major
engineering codes and standards Proficiency in
2D / 3D CAD software
e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Microstation) for modeling and drafting. Ability to read and interpret
P&IDs, PFDs, and process diagrams . Good command of
technical English , both written and spoken.
