LEGAL COUNSEL
On a functional basis, he/she will report to the Senior Counsel in charge of legal affairs in Europe.
As part of the Global Legal Team, he/she will collaborate with the local legal team and the legal Counsel overseeing legal affairs in Europe, providing support on matters such as compliance policies, reviewing potential litigation cases, and handling legal and administrative duties of the company in Italy and other countries where the company operates.
He/she will offer legal advice and analysis on a wide range of issues, mainly contractual and litigation-related, in the countries where the company is active.
He/she will draft and advise on various contracts and agreements related to the company's worldwide projects.
He/she will interact with internal clients, operational teams, clients, consortium partners, subcontractors, legal advisors, and senior management on a daily basis.
He/she will develop an understanding of active projects and upcoming tenders.
Provide advisory services to internal stakeholders, offering risk identification and mitigation strategies for legal matters.
Liaise with local insurance brokers for projects and tenders.
Draft legal notices and manage dispute cases.
Participate in the Group legal network.
Postgraduate Law Degree (Master's, LLM, or PhD).
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Mandatory: Solid knowledge of Italian public procurement rules, engineering contracts, and EPC contracts.
Experience in Design and Build projects.
At least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
Experience in negotiating and drafting contracts and transaction documents.
Experience in an international environment, preferably in engineering and/or construction companies.
Location: Rome, with periodic travel within Italy.
