A local council in the UK is seeking Waste Management Operatives to collect food and other waste as part of an upcoming service. The role requires physical fitness and customer service skills. The ideal candidates will be committed to improving public services and may have the opportunity for HGV driver training. This is a full-time position with a salary of £25,185 to £26,403 per annum.
Waste Management Operative (Loader) – 11 vacant positions. Grade 3, £25,185 up to £26,403 per annum pro rata. 37 hours per week, full time, permanent contract. Potential opportunity to complete HGV Driver Training.
We are recruiting Waste Management Operatives ahead of the implementation of a new Food Waste service commencing February next year.
If you currently have a category B licence, you are eligible to apply for category C training. Training is fully funded and the council actively supports staff to complete this training. Once qualified, you may receive further training from experienced drivers.
