Responsibilities

• Supervise waste material processing activities ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work.
• Ensure all operations comply with HSQE legislation and company policies.
• Complete inspections and maintain records for all processing areas.
• Maximize productivity and communicate issues to management.
• Conduct inductions, briefings, and maintain site cleanliness.

Job description

My well established Environmental company based in Cannock are looking for an Operations Processing Supervisor to work in their yard on a full time and permanent basis.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient material processing and supervision of site activities. A hands on approach is required to ensure the safe and optimal operation of all plant, equipment and peoples well-being, whilst delivering an excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervising various waste material processing activities ensuring compliance with all Safe Systems of Work, including risk assessments and method statements
• Ensuring all processing operations carried out comply with all current HSQE legislation and company management systems and policies, whilst promoting safe working practices to minimise accidents and incidents
• Ensuring productivity is maximised at all times, communicating any issues to management.
• Completing inductions, activity briefings, toolbox talks and keeping records
• Housekeeping to ensure that the facilities are kept clean, tidy and free of trip hazards and that the site remains secure during operations and at the end of shifts in line with the site operating plan.
• Conducting inspections and maintaining records for all processing areas.
• Ensuring plant inspections are completed on time and that all defects have been reported

Key Skills

• Ideally Experience in supervising waste management or industrial processing sites and plant operations
• Knowledge and understanding of all relevant health and safety, environmental and planning regulations
• Planning and organisation skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Ability to utilise a range of software including the MS office suite.
• Flexible approach for daily requirements
