Job summary
A leading aerospace firm is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead software projects at their site in Eastleigh. This role involves project management accountability, schedule and budget control, and ensuring high-quality delivery. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and experience in regulated industries, preferably aerospace. Skills in customer change management and software development are essential. This position offers a hybrid working model with negotiable rates based on experience.

- Experience in aerospace, automotive, nuclear or other regulated sectors is ideal.
- Proven project management experience in regulated or controlled industries.

A leader in Health Usage and Monitoring Systems (HUMS) for military and commercial aircrafts seeks an Engineering Project Manager to lead teams delivering customer-funded software application modifications. This role ensures projects meet all scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets at an established aerospace site.
- Lead and manage software engineering/technology projects
- Champion safety and high-quality delivery
- Act as primary customer contact for resource allocation and project integration
- Control project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring milestones and customer requirements are met
- Manage change, risk, and project performance using metrics and earned value techniques
- Effectively communicate with all levels and drive team accountability
- Motivate and manage project teams
- Experience in software development project management (ideally within aerospace, automotive, nuclear, or other regulated sectors)
- Skilled in customer scope/change management and application software development
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Project)
- Understanding of project lifecycle management
- Knowledge of Aerospace & Military certification standards (DAOS, RTCA DO178)
- Experience using IBM ALM tool suite
- Experience working with military license requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proven project management experience in a regulated or controlled industry (Aerospace, Energy, Chemical, Defense)
