The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work alongside the Cardiac ICU and Advanced Heart Failure unit managers to lead quality initiatives, develop and implement evidence-based improvement projects, and support direct care nurses with education and just-in-time training. The CNS also provides direct patient consulting through various avenues on the unit, including interdisciplinary rounds, direct care nurse support, and specialty patient education and care. The role requires expertise in patient specialties such as Critical Care, Left Ventricular Assist Devices, Heart Transplantation, and Pulmonary Hypertension.
