An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Room Leader to join a well-established nursery committed to providing exceptional childcare and education, creating a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality environment for children.

As a Deputy Room Leader, you will support the management of the baby room and assist in delivering exceptional care and education for young children.

This full-time role offers a salary of £29,000 and benefits.

You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Supporting the room leader in the day-to-day management of the baby room.
  • Planning and supervising activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
  • Acting as the key person for allocated children, ensuring their progress and wellbeing.
  • Maintaining accurate observations, assessments, and records.
  • Upholding safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times.
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Contributing to the quality and environment of the nursery to meet the Early Years Foundation Stage standards.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Senior Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or similar role.
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection procedures.
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting, supporting children's learning and development.
  • Ability to support children with SEND and work in partnership with parents.
  • Good organisational skills, ability to manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, professional, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge or experience of using digital learning platforms is desirable.
