A care home provider is seeking a Pastoral Care Co-ordinator to ensure residents can practice and celebrate their faith while receiving spiritual support. Responsibilities include arranging Mass, providing pastoral care, and fostering community links. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and must possess relevant health and social care qualifications. Training is provided, alongside benefits like paid holidays and pension contributions.
An exciting opportunity has come up in our care home for a Pastoral Care Co-ordinator. The main responsibility of this role is ensuring residents have the opportunity to practise and celebrate their faith, while also respecting and supporting those from different faith traditions. You will provide pastoral support on a daily basis, accompany residents through life’s most significant moments, and foster strong links with local church and community groups.
As a Pastoral Care Co-ordinator this will mean planning and implementing the kinds of activities that provide the religious support required by our residents. This is a pivotal role to ensure that our residents are receiving the relevant spiritual support.
This role would suit someone who is compassionate and you will be the sort of person who likes to get to know people so that activities can be personalised. Parts of this role will be challenging so it is vital that you are patient and kind. You’ll have great planning, organisational and IT skills and be able to manage your time effectively.
It is desirable that you have a relevant health and social care qualification.
