The Vacancy

Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group, is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager.


This role involves supporting, securing, and delivering projects and frameworks for water utility clients across the UK. You will develop our regional commercial team as we provide innovative engineering solutions.

About the Role

Managing a team of commercial professionals, your responsibilities include:

  • Making key decisions alongside the senior operational team
  • Supporting bid teams and commercially appraising opportunities
  • Ensuring compliance with governance and processes
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Providing transparent, accurate, and timely commercial reports
  • Leading the development of commercial staff to reach their potential
Essential Requirements

The role is suitable for candidates with a background working for a Principle Contractor in the UK water industry or related sectors. Candidates should possess and demonstrate:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline
  • Previous experience at MQS level with aspirations to progress to Commercial Manager
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in managing NEC Contracts
Desirable Requirements
  • Leadership experience and flexibility
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CICES, ICE)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong commercial and financial process knowledge
  • Ability to deliver quality outputs within tight deadlines
