Job summary

A leading defence contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager QDC / SSCR to manage post contract activities in a secure Defence programme. You will negotiate and structure contracts, ensuring compliance and effective risk mitigation while collaborating with legal, procurement, sales, and finance teams. Candidates must have strong experience managing QDC contracts and a good understanding of IT law and governance frameworks. This role is hybrid, and the location is in Basingstoke, UK.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing QDC and single source contracts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across legal, finance, procurement, and sales.
• Knowledge of governance frameworks, DOFA processes, and contract lifecycle management.
• Skilled in preparing SOWs, change orders, and contract documentation.
• Understanding of IT law, data protection, and commercial legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage Qualified Defence Contract activities including negotiation and preparation of statements of work.
• Maintain contract documentation and ensure compliance with internal governance.
• Lead cross functional collaboration to resolve issues and support delivery.
• Create templates and support BAU contract management.
• Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes.
