Responsible for delivering Supply Chain Strategy and Intelligence, ensuring the function retains a long-term strategic vision focused on developing category and supplier strategies, as well as supporting future supply chain design.

1. Lead the development of strategic sourcing strategies, including category and equipment, to support current and future programmes.
2. Lead on pan-programme activities, including Supply Chain design and delivery of category and supplier strategies.
3. Identify opportunities for alignment and integration with other business functions, corporate entities, and the wider Submarine Enterprise.
4. Leverage embedded (sub-tier) opportunities using BAE and Enterprise frameworks within the supply chain.
5. Utilize various tools to analyze category trends, demand, and opportunities.
6. Lead and influence cross-business and cross-functional teams of stakeholders to design and implement business benefits.
7. Collaborate with businesses and other functions to ensure category recommendations meet expectations and achieve optimal outcomes.
8. Act as a champion for procurement, focusing on embedding category management of direct spend across UK businesses.
9. Develop support materials for category management to standardize processes, document lessons learned, and improve operational efficiency.

• Experience in line management or coaching.
• Experience influencing stakeholders.
• Background working with electrical systems and equipment (desirable).
• Experience with long build durations and a low mix of product types (desirable).
