A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to provide high-quality, commercial legal advice focussing on UK construction projects. The successful candidate will engage with senior management, negotiate contracts, and support ongoing operational matters. You will work closely with business teams, especially business development, commercial and senior management, and externally with counterparty legal advisers, external legal advisers, contract counterparties and customers. You will provide timely, high quality, practical and commercially focused legal advice, balancing legal risk with the commercial needs of the business and will be responsible for:
A successful Senior Counsel should have demonstrable experience and proven understanding of the contractual framework surrounding construction projects within the UK construction market including experience of negotiating and agreements based on industry standard forms, in particular the JCT suite of contracts and NEC.
