Job Description

The Client:

A leading investment manager is looking for an 8+ PQE corporate/commercial lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead legal advisor on M&A and integration queries, providing strategic support to the senior executive team on pre- and post-completion/integration M&A matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, investment management agreements, licensing agreements, and customer terms and conditions.
• Identify potential legal risks and provide strategic advice to mitigate these risks, ensuring the company’s operations comply with legal requirements.
• Advise on corporate documents such as SPAs and SHAs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, to ensure all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have 8+ PQE as a corporate and/or commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm or financial services firm.
• Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
