This role is based at Pontville School. We will accept applications from newly-qualified clinicians up to specialist practitioners. You will be working as part of a large MDT, and within an established Speech Therapy team.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. You’ll also assess our young people’s mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan. Building rapport is key; by doing this, you’ll be able to deliver effective counselling and provide feedback on progress.

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC
• Be a specialist with proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs
• Have experience supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments
• Be a confident, engaging, effective model, guide, leader, and trainer
• Be highly organised and proactive
• Be committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people
