Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Plant Operator to join our team at Scottish Leather Group, based in Bridge of Weir. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and managing the machinery and processes within our Recycling Plant, including Waste Water, Energy from Waste, and Rendering Plant operations. You will ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and within environmental compliance limits, monitoring systems via SCADA, and maintaining operational documentation. Your responsibilities will include initiating and stopping plant processes, troubleshooting issues, supporting maintenance activities, and recording process data accurately. The successful candidate will need prior experience in process operation, with knowledge of supervisory control systems, and the ability to respond effectively under pressure. Prior operational experience in industries such as energy from waste, water treatment, or heavy industry is advantageous. You should demonstrate confidence, strong communication skills, and an eye for detail, alongside the ability to think proactively and solve problems efficiently. This position operates in a Pitman shift pattern.

  • Experience in Recycling Plant Operation or similar industrial environments
