Fixed Term Account Manager
Location: John Lewis Bluewater
Contract: Fixed Term/MAT Cover until August 2026, 37.5 hours/weekly, any 5 out of 7 days

JOB PURPOSE
In line with the Fragrance & Beauty vision and mission, the Account Manager will lead an energetic and passionate team of people who are dedicated to creating experiences with our clients. Through a keen sense of business acumen, the Account Manager is responsible for all retail activities that contribute to the brand's image and leadership in the market by liaising with field and head office functions. They will be responsible for the day to day running of the counter and continue to coach and mentor the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading the team
- Guide the team towards achieving results and developing individual talents
- Create an environment rich with ethics, integrity and diversity, leading to positive team collaboration
- Proactively address employee relations issues with support from the Retail Development Manager, in accordance with company policies
- Facilitate team and individual communication to ensure shared knowledge
- Share brand vision and business challenges, empowering the team while holding them accountable
Business developer
- Build CHANEL's client portfolio through data capture aligned with brand expectations
- Develop business initiatives consistent with brand strategy
- Manage staff rotas and operational zoning for optimal client experience
- Communicate stock needs for retail and collateral to relevant parties
- Maintain a solid understanding of the business environment
- Report to line manager to influence strategies and recommendations
Experience creator
- Lead by example on the sales floor, creating personalized client experiences and building relationships
- Embrace digital shopping trends and consider the omni-channel journey
- Resolve client service complaints holistically to ensure satisfaction across channels
- Ensure team has tools and training to deliver CHANEL’s client experience
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and a welcoming environment
CHANEL Ambassador
- Possess strong knowledge of the brand, heritage, and know-how; share this with clients and team
