Duties as a Reception Year Teacher:

• Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching based on the EYFS framework

• Create a safe, stimulating classroom that supports learning through play and exploration

• Observe, assess and record children’s development accurately

• Foster strong relationships with children, families and colleagues

• Support pupils’ personal, social and emotional growth

• Collaborate with the EYFS team to deliver a broad, balanced and child-centred curriculum

• Maintain a warm and inclusive environment where every child feels valued

Ideal Reception Year Teacher:

• A qualified teacher (QTS) with EYFS experience or a strong understanding of early childhood education

• Someone who is energetic, creative and compassionate

• A strong communicator who works well in a team as a Reception Year Teacher.

• A reflective practitioner with high expectations for every child

• Someone who is passionate about building solid foundations for lifelong learning
