Job summary
A local nursery in Trowbridge is seeking a dedicated childcare practitioner who is passionate about working with children aged 9 months to 5 years. This role involves creating engaging activities, collaborating with parents, and ensuring a safe environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to children's welfare and the ability to work well under pressure. The position is term time only, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
Qualifications
- Experience in working with young children aged 9 months to 5 years.
- Ability to liaise effectively with parents and carers.
- Strong teamwork skills to support other staff members.
Responsibilities
- Create fun and challenging activities for children.
- Liaise with parents and carers regarding children's progress.
- Complete observations for children’s learning journals.
- Ensure children's safety and support in the nursery.
Skills
A bit about us: We are a small nursery based in the heart of Trowbridge, catering for children from 9 months to 5 years of age. We have a small dedicated staff group. We are open term time only from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
We are looking for a practitioner that is passionate about childcare and can work under pressure. The role will include creating fun and challenging activities for the children, liaising with parents and carers, completing observations to contribute towards children’s learning journals, ensuring that the children are safe and always supported in our setting, and supporting other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
