A charitable organization in the United Kingdom is seeking Relief Support Practitioners for their Ayrshire services. This flexible role involves providing person-centered support to individuals who are primarily deafblind and have complex needs. Responsibilities include assisting with healthcare, record keeping, encouraging independence, and collaborating with colleagues and families. Ideal for those seeking a work-life balance with various shifts available.
As part of our growing team, we’re expanding our relief pool – an ideal opportunity for anyone looking for flexible work that fits around their life. Whether you're a student, a parent, semi-retired, or simply after a better work‑life balance, joining our relief team on a zero‑hour contract lets you choose when you work.
We’re looking for Relief Support Practitioners to join our team in Ayrshire, supporting people across Ardrossan, Saltcoats, Largs and Irvine.
In Ardrossan, we run a Day Support Service, open Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. Hours are flexible between 8:30am and 6:00pm.
In Saltcoats, Largs and Irvine, we provide Supported Living Services, offering 24‑hour support all year round. Shifts in these services are typically 12 hours.
No two days are the same. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team, providing person‑centred support to people who are primarily deafblind, with a range of complex needs. Many of the people we support don’t use verbal communication, so creativity, patience and empathy are essential.
At the heart of what we do is value‑based communication – adapting how we connect and support each person in ways that work for them. Our teams help people live full, independent lives, making their own choices and building their confidence every day.
Be part of something meaningful at Sense Scotland and make a real difference, one shift at a time.
