Trade Counter Administrator / Sales and Administration Assistant

Salary: £28400 per annum plus performance bonus !!
Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm Great hours for early birds !!!

Are you someone who enjoys talking to customers face to face while also keeping things organised behind the scenes?

Do you thrive in a busy but supportive environment where no two days are quite the same? If so this could be the perfect role for you.

I am recruiting for a specialist merchant company based in Basildon who are looking for a new team member to join them as a Trade Counter Administrator with sales and administration duties included. You will work closely with the Administration Supervisor and the rest of their small friendly team.

The role offers the best of both worlds, serving customers and back office administration!

What you will be doing:
Welcoming and serving customers on the trade counter
Confidently talking about product features and helping customers find what they need – training provided on this
Answering incoming calls and dealing with enquiries
Processing sales credits and other transactions
Handling cash and banking accurately
Maintaining branch records and ensuring compliance
Supporting with emails paperwork and other admin tasks

What we are looking for:
Experience in a similar trade counter or builder’s merchant role is ideal but not essential
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Administration skills essential
Confidence in dealing with customers both over the phone and in person – essential
